Living room YouTube & 160gb Apple TV.

The exams are officially over, and I return from that dark land of equations bearing yet more good news. Apple have announced that YouTube content will be available via Apple TV, streamed directly from the net. This is a giant step for all those youtubers out there filming and producing the (occasionally) original and (usually) interesting content that really drives the YouTube machine. At any rate, I'm looking forward to seeing more of CultureKiller from the comfort of my lounge chair.

One wonders how it'll all work however, with limited functionality in the Apple Remote. For instance, how do we search for 'Lonelygirl15' with only 6 buttons? However, I'm sure Apple, true to form, will arrive at a truly ingenious conclusion. We'll just have to wait and see.

Apple have also released a new configuration for the Apple TV, upping the hard-drive to 160GB of space. An improvement, but for the hardcore amongst us, still not enough. *Imagines Steve Jobs tossing hands up in frustration. Gee, what gives you guys!? Haven't you ever heard of DVD collections? Lousy torrent leechers.*

Shucks, who am I kidding? We all did/do it. The point of the matter is that the new configuration has clinched the deal for me, I'll be off soon to pick up a new shiny Apple TV. That is, as soon as I can actually afford one.

Read the Apple article/announcement here.

Votes are down, and its been decided. The "Happy Mac'ing" closing phrase will only be used for reviews, important posts and rants. News is exempt. Not that I don't want you to be happy when reading the news but rather that using the phrase too much is driving the best of us crazy.
