Steve Jobs & Bill Gates at D5.

I couldn't believe my eyes this morning when I got up; I saw a picture of Bill Gates on the Apple website. Worse still, it was Bill Gates and Steve Jobs, and they were smiling.

So naturally I clicked on it, downloaded the 900 something mb video podcast and watched all 1 hour 30 minutes of it at school on my iPod. It was great, something a little new for me and thus really refreshing. When you see so much Mac vs. Windows squabbling, its just wonderful to see Bill Gates and Steve Jobs shake hands. The greatest misconception around is that Apple actually maliciously competes with Microsoft, or that Apple and Microsoft really compete at all in a negative sense. Apple and Microsoft have been partners since the early beginnings, and hopefully will continue to be. But I decided to fix that picture of Bill & Steve for Apple anyway.

Just kidding. I used to be a PC user and have always been a fan of Bill Gates. When I made the switch to the Mac, Steve Jobs jumped on to my favorite-people list alongside Bill, Jack O'Neill from Stargate SG1 and Captain Kirk. So really the picture should look like this:

I completely recommend going over to apple.com/startpage and checking this out. There is an audio-only version for those with slower connections or iPod nanos etc.
